Before you start — general information

All Aotearoa New Zealand school students who struggle to use a regular print book may be eligible to use our resources.

Read about our service and what you can borrow

1. Register your school with the Print Disabilities Service

To access our resources, your school must be registered. We require one person from the school to request and manage the loans.

Your principal's name and email is required when applying for the Wheelers ePlatform service.

No medical certificate or formal assessment is required. By registering, you're acknowledging these resources will only be used by students who struggle to use regular print resources.

It's free to borrow physical audiobooks from us. It's also free to borrow eBooks and eAudios from Wheelers using the Print Disabilities Service ePlatform.

Students select and download their own titles from the Wheelers ePlatform. eAudios have a headphone icon on the cover. Greyed-out titles are currently on loan.

3. Receive your loan

Keep the box and packaging material to return items in.

You will be emailed a list of titles issued. Tip: For large loans, copy the table from the email and put it into Excel. Then you can sort the list by title, author or call number.

4. Return your loan

How to change or cancel your registration

If you've already registered, you can update your details using the registration form.

You can cancel at any time. If you want to cancel your registration, email us. Let us know:

  • what you want to cancel (remember to include your school name)

  • if you have Wheelers ePlatform logins you no longer need — we have a limited number of logins so someone else can have access to the ePlatform if you no longer want it.

Make sure you've returned all physical audiobooks to the Print Disabilities Service.
