Aotearoa People’s Network Kaharoa
The Aotearoa People’s Network Kaharoa (APNK) starts with a simple idea: that all New Zealanders should be able to access the online world using a good quality internet connection. In collaboration with New Zealand public libraries, APNK works to make this a reality by providing free and facilitated access to the internet and computer technology for all.
Libraries and their staff also benefit as they build their skills and knowledge of the online world and digital tools, and share this knowledge with their customers.

Aotearoa People’s Network Kaharoa (APNK) offers computer hardware and high-speed internet for New Zealand public libraries so that all New Zealanders can be connected online.
How APNK works
APNK operates on a cost-sharing model with the National Library, allocating hardware to council districts on a per-population basis. Strategic guidance is provided by an Advisory Group.
