Ring binder album containing cartes de visite studio portraits of men, women, children, family groups and a few scenic views, organised by location and photographer, circa 1860 to 1900. Photographers are named, sometimes with a location and date. Almost none of the subjects are identified, except for Charles Christie Graham, Ben Lomond, Oamaru, photographed by W H Davis; Mr E Cockburn, photographed by McEachen; and W Robson photographed by Thomas Price. One portrait of three men is captioned 'the other two fellows are shipmates on the Rakaia'.
