Includes images of details of whakairo carvings and paintings from whare, as well as decorated hue (gourds), a pounamu toki, and the 'Rotorua Whaka Maori Concert Party' performing an action song. The Samoan images include a wedding. Description: Photographic proof sheets depicting Māori, taken and created by Ans Westra between 1960 and 1966. The proof sheets were originally treated as finding aids for the associated negatives. At the front of each binder is a hand written general index created by Ans Westra. A paper sheet annotated by Ans Westra with additional information accompanies each proof sheet. Title supplied by Library Oral History also held by the Library, "Ans Westra talking about her proof sheets", OHColl-0953-01 Arrangement: A4 sized proof sheets are organised in sequential order using the numbering sequence supplied by Ans Westra. The proof sheets were then arranged by the Library into nine ring binders, approximately 100 per folder.
