Māhinārangi (Ngāruawāhia, N.Z.)
Whare tupuna at Tūrangawaewae Marae at Ngāruawāhia, headquarters of the Maori King Movement (Te Kingitanga). The whare was opened in 1929. Exterior carving is in Waikato style, and the interior is Arawa. The structures known as Turongo and Mahinarangi form the Kingitanga Museum (Mahinarangi) and centre of administration (Turongo).
Has also been referred to as Mahina-a-Rangi, Mahingarangi, and Te Mahinarangi.

Album containing photographs of Māori receptions for Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip on the royal tour of New Zealand in 1953-1954, taken by unknown photographers. Includes receptions in Waitangi, Ngaruawahia, and Rotorua, and contains many photographs of various iwi performing action songs and haka, as well as powhiri and wero. Most photographs have captions. Also includes photographic copies of the address from "the Māori Race" to the Queen read by the Minister of Māori Affairs at Rotorua, and the Queen's reply, and a photograph of the gifts given to the royal couple by Māori.

The first map is a plan of Turangawaewae Marae, Waikato, showing the pa site, including Turongo House, Mahingarangi House, Kimi-kimi Dining Hall, octagon office, flag poles, recreation grounds and lawns. Arrows from the river road to Hamilton East go through and lead out of the pa.
The second map is partly a locality map, but also includes numbered sections, with acreages, west and southwest of Turangawaewae, while arrows show movement through the pa. Shows a section of the Waikato and the Waipa rivers.
