- Description
Shows a half-length portrait of a bearded man with a feather in his hair and long tassel earrings. A pendant around his neck is in the form of a hollow tube with an attached bundle of small sticks. The top of his grass skirt can be seen beginning on his chest.
Piron visited New Zealand in 1793 under the command of Bruny d'Entrecasteaux.
