Four armed men, variously posed, showing, left to right, a man with bright red hair and full body tattoo, a second man from Louklouk in a garment covering the head and most of the body with pointed top and feathered bottom, a man crouching in a grass skirt with a slingshot and a fourth man with a weapon raised, wearing a headdress
Redrawn by Chazal from original by Lejeune, & engraved by Tardieu for publication as plate in Duperrey, L I Voyage... sur la Coquille... 1822... 1825... Histoire du voyage. Atlas (Paris, Arthur Bertrand, 1826) (fr910.4).
Inscriptions translate as Papuan from Bouca Island; costume from Louklouk; warriors in battle pose (applying to the two right-hand figures)
