Description: Pamphlet issued ahead of the Convention on International Relations in Auckland (on 7-13 September 1954). The front cover shows a photograph of a mushroom cloud over a Pacific setting with palm trees. Inside is a report of a determination by churchmen to hold a convention "to promote international understanding and a worldwide allegiance to the purpose of the Charter of the United Nations". The hope was to reduce and control armaments and meet the challenge of nuclear energy. Urges readers to publicise the event, give financial support and send delegates to the convention.
