Movement for Nuclear Disarmament (Wellington, N.Z.)

The Wellington Movement for Nuclear Disarmament was one of five organisations formed in New Zealand during 1959 to protest against nuclear testing. These organisations - Wellington Movement for Nuclear Disarmament; The Society for the Prevention of Nuclear War, Dunedin; Campaign Against Nuclear Warfare, Christchurch; Movement for Nuclear Disarmament, Hawkes Bay; and The Movement Against Further Testing, Manufacture and Use of Nuclear Weapons, Auckland. These organisations affiliated and became The NZ Council for Nuclear Disarmament.

In 1960 it was renamed The NZ Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament with headquarters in Christchurch.
