- Description
Digital cartoon by Shaun Yeo on political and social issues in New Zealand and internationally. Depicts sailors and Captain Cook on the deck of the 'Endeavour' looking at the coast of New Zealand. A deckhand tells Cook that "hundreds of years from now the people of this land will still be honouring your name". Refers to graffiti being sprayed on a statue of Captain Cook in Gisborne as an international movement to remove monuments to colonisers and other controversial historical figures, and controversy over the renaming of the Captain Cook pub in Dunedin when a new venue was established in the same building.
