Photographs of Wellington City Silver Band at Wellington Zoo in 1979. Taken by an unidentified photographer. Three photographs show the members of the band posing with their instruments (one in front of an elephant) and the fourth shows the band playing.

Band members are identified in the mounted group portrait. In the back row are E Brierly, T Neil, D Morrison, Chris Scales, R Simpson, M Mulholland, Ron McNulty, D Gregan, and S [or Murray?] Aarons. In the front row are D Campbell, Bruce Wright, Margaret Gibbs, S [Steven?] Lis, Jim McGregor (Conductor), W [Warren?] Gaiger, R Metcalfe, Ailsa Love, and Ron Gerrard. Those absent are also listed.

The photograph of the band performing includes S [Steven?] Lis and W [Warren?] Gaiger on drums; R Metcalfe on bass; T Neil and M Gee (on cornets at rear); D Gregan, E Brierly, M Mulholland, S [or Murray?] Aarons, and Chris Scales (on cornets at front); Ron McNulty on flugelhorn; D Campbell on trombone; Bruce Wright on baritone; Ailsa Love on euphonium; and Margaret Gibbs on tenor horn.
