Photographs of Christchurch showing the effects of the Canterbury earthquakes and the recovery effort, taken on 6 June 2012 by BeckerFraserPhotos. The photographs were taken in the CBD red zone area during thick snowfall.

Includes views taken in Cathedral Square showing diggers, crane, a few workers and shipping containers surrounding the snow covered Christchurch Cathedral partially supported by a steel framework, also visible are the Millennium Hotel, snow covered trees near the Chalice and empty stone plinth where the statue of John Robert Godley stood, the Novotel Hotel, the Citizens' War Memorial, BNZ, Christchurch Central Post Office building which housed the Christchurch i-SITE Visitor Centre, old Post Office Telephone Exchange building on Hereford Street and salvaged stones from the Cathedral

Includes views showing snow falling thickly over Westpac building in High Street and a large digger behind wire fence and cones clearing rubble

Includes view taken looking down Worcester street showing Kaplan International College building (former State Insurance), Heritage Hotel Government buildings)

Includes various views taken at the intersection of Hereford and Manchester streets showing deserted snowy streets, a vacant lot, a white van and a Taylor-Smith Transport lorry backed up against Dick Smith Electronics shop, the China Bistro and the Trinity Congregational Church

Includes views taken at the intersection of Colombo, Hereford and High Streets showing snowfall over ANZ building, crane and 'Hawkins Infrastructure' barriers around the BNZ building, the 'Flour Power' steel sculpture of wheat by Regan Gentry on Stewart Plaza at corner of High and Colombo streets, workers in high visibility jackets and cars on site near partially demolished 699 Colombo street (former Burger King)
