The Minister of Justice, Judith Collins, requests another 'independent opinion - Justice Binnie's had an accident with the crusher'. Beside is a metal press, with only pair of feet protuding. Judith Collins' hand is resting on the controls of the press.
In 2011 the Ministry of Justice contracted William Binnie, a puisne justice of the Canadian Supreme Court to investigate the controversial claim for compensation made by David Bain for wrongful imprisonment. When Binnie, after a year's investigation, found in favour of Bain, Collins rejected his findings and announced that the government would get a second opinion. 'Crusher' refers to Collins' nickname, gained when she advocated confiscating and crushing cars of boy racers.
