Description

Two cartoons depicting New Zealand First party leader Winston Peters as 'Billbo' Baggins, referring to the character from the Hobbit books and movies. Context: The New Zealand government contributed over $67 million to Warner Brothers and changed its labour laws to ensure that the Hobbit films would be produced in New Zealand. The movie has since earned over $1 billion worldwide, and Peters wants Warner Brothers should repay the subsidies to kiwi taxpayers. (Stuff, 14 January 2013)
