Description: A full programme with historical information about the air attack on dams in the Ruhr, led by Guy Gibson, and involving two New Zealand flyers, Flight-Lieutenant L Chambers, DFC, and Squadron Leader J L (Les) Munro, DSO, DFC, whose portraits and biographies are given. The stars of the 1954 film were: Richard Todd, Michael Redgrave, Basil Sydney, Ernest Clark, Derek Farr, John Fraser, George Baker, Bill Kerr. A New Zealand actor Colin Tapley is listed in the role of Dr W H Glanville, a scientist who developed Dr Barnes Wallis' dam-busting "bouncing" bomb. Information is given about Heritage, an organisation to help the children of servicemen who died in the war. There is also a column about the Brevet Club (Wellington) on page 17.
