Description

The Prime Minister speaks into an array of microphones, among which a snake is hidden. He denies that 'our slack approach to biosecurity is letting bad critters in'.

On 21 May 2012 a colubrid snake was found in a shipping container in Auckland. This followed the interception of Australian fruit-flies from Queensland. There had been cuts in the biosecurity staff. The Government denied that this had affected security.
