Portraits of George Hildebrand Alington (1850-1905), sixth son of Rev John Alington (1801-1883) and his wife Charlotte Sophia Alington (1813-1898) of Candlesby, Lincolnshire, England. The portraits depict George Alington from ca 1865 to ca 1890. These photographs are associated with manuscript series MS-Papers-11146-15.

Members of the Dumergue and Tipping families, ca 1860s-ca 1880s. George Hildebrand Alington's wife was Winifred Beatrice Dumergue (1873-1958), and his brother Charles Sydney Alington's (1846-1932) wife was Gertrude Emma Tipping (fl 1870-1910). These photographs associated with manuscript series MS-Papers-11146-20.

Portraits of Winifred Beatrice Alington, nee Dumergue (1873-1958), William (Bill) Alington's paternal grandmother. One shows her as a young woman in the 1890s, and the other was taken in June 1940. There is also a photograph of her grave in a churchyard, Avonside, Christchurch, photographed in 1999. These photographs associated with manuscript series MS-Papers-11146-20.
