- Description
Engraving shows three head and shoulder portraits of inhabitants of New Zealand, the one at top centre being derived from Sydney Parkinson's profile "Head of a New Zealander", showing a tattooed Maori man. The lower two are derived from Piron's "Man of New Zealand" and "Girl of New Zealand". They show two Maori men (not a man and a girl).

There are futher states of this print in editions of Lindner published in Prague, 1816 or 1817 (no copies held in New Zealand) and Prague, 1820 (copy in Auckland Museum Library).
