Shows a garden of sunflowers all struggling to grow to be the tallest and strongest and at the same time trying to prevent others from growing. Each sunflower has the face of a party leader. From left they are; Pita Sharples co-leader of the Maori Party, Jeanette Fitzsimons co-leader of the Greens, Helen Clark PM and leader of the Labour Party, Winston Peters leader of NZ First, John Key leader of the National Party, Peter Dunne leader of United Future and Jim Anderton leader of the Progressive Party. A bee representing 'voters' buzzes over the fence and wonders if these are spring blooms or just another outbreak of didymo. Refers to the political campaign in the run up to the 2008 election. Didymo is a noxious water weed that is causing major problems in lakes and rivers.
