Description

Shows a running race, two runners about to break the tape together. One is a robust bearded man dressed in a kilt, and the other is a slighter man. Well back in the field are runners labelled "Spirits" and "Water".

The kilted runner is probably candidate Thomas Kennedy Macdonald, and the other runner may be either John Duthie or H D Bell.

This is a galley proof rather that a newsclipping.
