Cartoon has a text which asks what the difference is between Graeme Burton and his victim's family. The victim was Karl Kuchenbecker. Below are two frames; the first shows the victim's family in silhouette with Karl Kuchenbecker shown as a dotted outline and the second shows David Burton in jail. The mother holds a sign that reads '$19k legal aid bill'. Refers to the fact that Karl Kuchenbecker's partner was asked to pay $19,000 towards legal aid costs which would have taken her years to pay off, hence the 'life sentence'. Justice Minister Annette King said she was "alarmed" by the demands being made on the family, promising an urgent examination of the legal aid system.
