Description: Text protesting against the proposed New Zealand rugby tour to South Africa in 1949. The protest emphasised that if the Maori were good enough to die for New Zealand during the Second world War, they were good enough to play for us as international rugby representatives. It attacks the "Poison of Fascism" and the apartheid system of South Africa, and calls for the New Zealand Rugby Union to reverse its decision. There are quotations by Mr H Tirikatene, Mr A T Carroll and Mr R Childs, and a list of organisations which have also protested against the tour. Two copies held. Quantity: 1 b&w photo-mechanical print(s) on flier. Physical Description: Offset print on flier, 208 x 125 mm.
