300 tonnes of explosives missing. Delhi 2010. 30 September 2010
- Date
- 2010
- Reference
- DCDL-0015716
- Description
Shows the logo of the 2010 Commonwealth Games which is a spiral shape spinning off into vague athletic body shapes; however in the cartoon it spins off into a bomb with a lit fuse. Below the logo are the words 'Delhi 2010' and text above reads '300 tonnes of explosives missing'. Refers to the 61 trucks loaded with over 300 tonnes of explosives that just casually "went missing" in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh in August that have still not been found. Refers more broadly to a very high security presence during the games because of fears of terrorist attacks.
