View from the water's edge, looking into the bush-clad shore, with a wooden hut, with a smoking slab chimney. A man standing in a rowboat at the shore is passing a plank or log to another man on shore.
Uncompleted watercolour on verso.
Robertson's Creek was named after John Robertson, Post Master from 1870. See TL 3/1/1/2 25 Feb 1987. Jamestown was established at Martin's Bay in 1870, but the area has now reverted to wilderness again.
