Description

Shows the ship 'Venture' which was used in the New Zealand-made film 'King Kong' converted into a waterfront aquarium. The ship is docked at a wharf next to another ship and a crane. Looming above the ship is a large sign reading 'King Kong Aquarium' and a huge gorilla which is scaring crowds of people who are fleeing away and screaming 'Eeek!". On the corner adjacent to the aquarium is a 'Fish n' Chimps' shop. Refers to mid-July 2006 announcement by Wellington property developer, Phil Stratford, who bought the ship 'Venture' from director Peter Jackson and wanted it to be the centrepiece of a NZ$4 million waterfront aquarium.
