News - Phillip Field gets 6 years for bribery, corruption and perverting the course of justice... "Gulp!" 10 October 2009
- Date
- 2009
- Reference
- DCDL-0012528
- Description
The cartoon shows eruptions of 'gulps' coming from the Beehive and parliament buildings as other politicians react to the news that Phillip Field was given a six year sentence 'for bribery, corruption and perverting the course of justice'. The suggestion is that the stiff sentence caused a shiver of 'there but by the grace of god go I' fear and a searching of conscience in the hearts of some other politicians.
