- Description
A caricature of President George Bush of the United States. He is shown attached to a plinth looking rather like the Statue of Liberty. He wears a toga and iron headband with bent spikes; in his raised right hand is a sparkler and under his left arm is a book. His expression is inscrutable but grim. The statue is being airlifetd by helicopter over a mosque in Baghdad. A bright searchlight beams from the helicopter to the ground beneath. Refers to President Bush's surprise visit to Baghdad 13 June 2006.
On Tuesday, 13 June 2006 President Bush made a surprise visit to Iraq to meet with Iraqi Prime Minister Maliki and members of his cabinet. The leaders discussed how to achieve the goal of an Iraq that can govern itself, sustain itself, and defend itself.
