Barraud records part of the return voyage to Wellington with her family on the `Zealandia', 12 Sep-26 Oct 1877, ending with two weeks quarantine on Somes Island after a smallpox outbreak. From Apr-Dec 1879 Laura resumed her diary describing family and social life in Wellington.
