1953:

Whakarewarewa Maori Concert Party will give their unique entertainment in the Concert Chamber [Tuesday 10th February 1953 - handwritten on front cover]. Programme

1956:

Whakatane Maori Youth Club. Grand Maori concert and All-Maori play "Tu Terangi & Kihi". Souvenir programme with folded flier for a performance on 12 October 1956 (2 copies).

1957:

Pataka Enterprises Inc presents a grand Maori concert on board the SS "Southern Cross". 24 October 1957, by Te Roopu Ngahau. Programme (with shipboard menu slipped inside)

1958:

New Zealand presents the Overseas Touring Party in "Maori", sponsored by the Auckland Public Relations Office Inc., and the NZ Travel & Holiday Association. 1958. Programme ( 2 copies - one with autographs and photographs of Touring Party members)

Description: Pamphlet welcoming home the Te Arohanui Maori Company after their successful tour of America. They left New Zealand in late September 1963. The pamphlet quote reviews from newspapers in Honolulu, Hollywood, Los Angeles, and San Diego. The back page announces concerts in December 1963 in Auckland, Hamilton, Hastings and Wellington. Description: A programme for a Maori concert performance featuring powhiri, love ditties, poi dances, action songs, haka, Maori games, poetry (patere), waiata, combination poi, toutou (war dance). There is a photographic portrait of Guide Rangi in the centre of the programme side. Soloists and named performers are: Wiremu Keepa, Ani Patiti, Kere Ratema, Hep Waretini. The non-programme side advertises Larsen's bus tours of the North Island, with an illustration of a bus and of a hostess with a microphone. There is also an illustration of a carved wooden figure, a woman performing with poi, and a cloaked man performing with a taiaha. Quantity: 1 colour photo-mechanical print(s) on folded pamphlet.. Physical Description: Photolithographs on both sides of sheet 202 x 340 mm, folded to 135 x 85 mm. Provenance: Donated by Mr Barry Chalmers, Wellington, in 2005.
