Description

Fiji and its people, its traditional buildings, crafts, and industries; the milk trade and a milk bottling plant; forestry and crops; scenic views and places; public health and tourism. As well as photographs taken in the 1970s, there is also a small group stamped "Fiji official photograph, Public Relations Office, Suva" dating from the 1950s. The Ngata Memorial College photographs date from 1977. They show the buildings, students and student activities, including a dance performance by visiting Cook Islanders. There are also five photographs and one negative of an international seminar on the relavance of Ghandi to our times, held in New Delhi in February, 1971.

At some time between 1984 and 2000 all the prints relating to Tonga were returned to Ernest Crane. Wendy Crane returned these when she donated negatives in February 2000. As a result they have been given a different PAColl number.
