Description

Photographs, chiefly taken by Sir Thomas Hunter, between 1939 and 1950.

Many of the scenes show camping holidays, with camping sites at Whangamata (two holidays, January 13-29, 1939; and January 26 to February 16 1940), Gisborne, Wairoa, Napier, Palmerston North, Taupo, and Waikanae.

The album is split in two, with half starting at one end, and the other half starting upside down at the other end of the album (tete-beche).

Two photographs show Thomas Hunter with his son Irwin wearing army uniform, taken in 1940.

The last few scenes are of Thomas Hunter's home at 10 Clermont Terrace, Wellington
