- Description
Two firemen hold a hose and worry because there is 'Nothing in the manual on how to put out an inflamed drunken mob...' Refers to an incident when a drunken mob attacked four volunteer firefighters on a Havelock street after an 18th birthday party got out of control. The crew of four volunteer firefighters responded to a report of a single-vehicle car crash on Mahakipawa Rd in Havelock. Police slammed the episode early yesterday as a "deplorable act of humanity", saying the troublemakers were in their 30s and 40s. (The Marlborough Express - 18 October 2010)
