Description: Portrait of Captain Owen Davies. Copy print made ca 1950s by Bingham Green from a photograph taken in about 1863 by an unknown photographer. Inscriptions: Album page - Captain Owen Davies, first Harbour Master Whangaroa, 1863. From a photograph by Bingham Green. Captain Davies was born in Llangrannog, Wales in 1813. He was a ship's captain who became the first Harbour Master at Whangaroa in July 1863. He died in Whangaroa in 1899. Quantity: 1 b&w copy photographic print(s).
