'The Politician' cartoon strip. The minister stares out of the window at the thousands of people demonstrating outside parliament and wonders if they are not just extras rather than people showing their support for the country's film industry. Refers to the march by supporters of Peter Jackson during the dispute over the making of the Hobbit films in New Zealand. There was a union demand for negotiations over the terms and conditions offered in the contracts for actors and others working on the film that very nearly caused the film to be made somewhere else.
