Shows a full length portrait of a man wearing a fan-shaped headdress, two string of beads around the neck and a cloth skirt secured at the waist with a belt from which feathers or leaves are suspended.
Image is adapted from Grasset de Saint-Sauveur, from a head and shoulders portrait by John Webber, "Poulaho, king of the Friendly Islands, [1777]", published in 1784.
Hand colouring may be twentieth century; other examples of this publication exist in black & white.
