Village scene on Vanikoro Island, Santa Cruz Islands, Solomon Islands, in 1828, showing the artist and a crew member (or possibly the Captain) of the Astrolabe, seven Vanikorans, a tethered pig, three dwellings, in a grove of trees, including banana and coconut.
