Mourners in front of Whakarongotai Marae, Waikanae, at the tangi of Tohuroa Wi Parata. The man standing at the doorway maybe Ihaia Puketapu from Te Ati Awa ki Waiwhetu, Lower Hutt; the woman seated at the far right is Haua Tuhera Baker (Ngati Raukawa, Ngati Toa, Te Ati Awa), a first cousin of the deceased and graddaughter of Wi Parata e kakakura. Photograph taken by an unidentified photographer ca 1955.
