Contains letters written by Neil Caradus, 1940-1945 to his family while on active service in England and the Middle East. Letters describe Caradus's journey to Enland via Freemantle, Cape Town and Freetown, time in Aldershot and Kent, 1940; his journey to Egypt and time at Maadi Camp working in the Divisional Intelligence Section and Cipher Section, 1941-1942; his participation in the offensive centering on the Alamein line and moves into Lybia, 1942 and then time back at Maadi Camp, 1943-1945. Also contains a copy of `Memory Lane' an autobiography written by Neil Caradus and published in 1993.
