Description

Colour transparencies of birdlife, sailing, and local scenes taken by James (Jim) Watt in Chile during the Totorore expedition, circa Jul-Dec 1983.

Set includes images of Wilson's storm petrels, an Inca tern in flight, imperial shags "albiventers" in flight (at Punta Arenas), a sooty shearwater, birds nests with eggs in them, a Patagonian sand plover, an imperial shag "atricepts" on the water, and hooded gulls. Also contains images of the 'Totorore' in a fjord, "Curanto Hoffman" [hotel?] at Tenglo Island (Puerto Montt), buildings on the water (Valdivia), spurs for sale in a shop window, unidentified brick ruins, a cart, [cattle?], a chart of path from Valdivia to Puerto Montt, a Patagonian glacier viewed from the air, and expedition member Andreas von Meyer.
