Trevor Richards founded Halt All Racist Tours (HART) in 1969 and remained active in the anti-apartheid movement until the 1990s; his papers reflect his work with the movement, which focused particularly on sporting contacts with South Africa, and the organisation behind it. In 1999 Richards published `Dancing on our bones; New Zealand, South Africa, rugby and racism'.
