Watercolour and pencil sketches of Tossa, Spain. Also contains sketch of castle near Jedburgh Scotland, and a scene in Surrey near East Grinstead.
Sketchbook has been only partly used.
Inscriptions: Album page - (on verso of first (loose) picture):Spain - 1952? / Mother very affected with cataract. (Note by Elizabeth Mason). [First sketch is actually dated 1st July 1954, and may be an English scene. Compare a very similar view in the artist's English sketchbook, E-518-051].

Description: A tall building on a mole alongside water with a boat pulled up, landing posts to the right, water and trees visible in the background This page may have been removed from sketchbook E-518, before acquisition by the Library. The final watercolour in E-518 (reference number E-518-051) shows the same scene, from a slightly different angle. It has 'Suffolk' inscribed on the verso. Inscriptions: Album page - (on verso of first (loose) picture):Spain - 1952? / Mother very affected with cataract. (Note by Elizabeth Mason).
