Description: Multiple baptism ceremony conducted by Archbishop Timotheos, Greek Orthodox archbishop of Australia, in the Greek School premises, upstairs on the corner of Vivian and Marion Streets. 14 children were baptized. Marina Asproloupos is being held by Mr Garland, immediately to the right of the Archbishop. As there was no Greek Orthodox priest in New Zealand at this time, baptisms could be performed only when a priest visited from Australia. Quantity: 1 b&w original photographic print(s).
