Description: Shows Komuhumuhu Pā at Gisborne Point, on the southern shores of Lake Rotoiti. Two pataka and two whare are in view, as well as several Maori placed at the whare on the right. A waka is on the lake. Mount Matawhaura rises steeply at the left of the image The library holds a photograph of another version of this scene by Blomfield (NON-ATL-0010), which is much fuller, with more people present, more buildings, a waka prominent on the shore, to name a few details.
