Description

Digital cartoon by Sharon Murdoch on political and social issues in New Zealand and internationally. Cartoon depicts ACT Party leader David Seymour using an excavator to demolish the foundation of a building labelled 'Society'. Some of the foundation stones are labelled 'women', 'Māori devel [development]', 'Pāsifika women', 'human rights', 'dem [word is incomplete], and 'ethnic communities'. A number of figures look out of the building at Seymour and he says "There's big savings to be made by taking out the foundations!". The captions reads: "Society building".
