Digital cartoon by Chris Slane on political and social issues in New Zealand and internationally. Description from cartoonist reads "Cartoon depicts prospective politicians with large egos from various parties entering a trial by fire and getting rather toon [too] toasty - refers to Gaurav Sharma, Labour MP." The politicians depicted are wearing badges meant to represent Labour, National, ACT, and Green parties, and are walking across hot coals on which there are several charred skeletons. This refers to Gaurav Sharma, a former Labour Party politician, who was expelled from the Labour Party caucus in August 2022 for his repeated breaches of caucus rules.
