Description

Photograph taken by an unidentified photographer between circa 1927 and 1938 showing two buildings, one a kāuta (cooking house) built in a Western style and one a whare noho (sleeping place) constructed in a traditional Māori manner using native materials, situated in front of the bush. Next to the two structures is a fenced-off area. Typed caption reads "Unsatisfactory double type Maori hut."
