D. Munro's copy press letters 1860

Copy letter book containing letters, correspondence and some financial records written by politician and Nelson pasturalist Sir David Monro, circa 1860-1861. Contains letters and correspondence mostly written while residing in Nelson and Auckland, recounting land purchase transactions, local Nelson news, and farming and pastural activities in the Nelson region. Letter script is written in iron gaul ink. Includes a names list of 'letters posted' on front inside cover, and an alphabetical names to page number index at front of book.
