Description: Copy letter book containing outward correspondence written by politician and Nelson pasturalist Sir David Monro, from 1860 to1869. Contains letters and business correspondence, letters pertaining to land purchase transactions,and descriptions of farming and pastural activities in the Nelson area. Letter script is written in iron gaul ink. Includes a alphabetical name to page index at the back of the book. Includes copies of letters to: Alfred Dobson, Mr Dillon Bell, C Goulter, John Fraser, David Fox, John Godfrey, Cajetan von Felder, Ferdinand von Hochstetter, Frederick Hulk & Co (London), William Thorne, Morrison & Co, Miles & Co, A B Monro, John Maxwell, Moffatt, Hugh Macilraith, Henry Monro, Patrick Macewen & Carment, James Rattray, Henry Sewell, R Waterston, and others.
