Transparencies of concrete construction in New Zealand, taken by Geoffrey Thornton or Jocelyn Thornton. Each slide mount is annotated with the name or brief description, and/or the location, of the concrete structure. Dates and photographer name are sometimes annotated. Buildings/structures and locations annotated on the slide mounts include Tauroa Homestead in Havelock North; "King George Park yacht pool cone" [possibly King Edward Park model boating lake] at Hawera; interior of chicory kiln at Inchclutha; 347 Ettrick Street in Invercargill; 225 Ettrick Street in Invercargill; rear view of house, coachman/gardener's cottage, and stables at The Elms at Kahutara [Kaikoura]; old concrete retaining wall at Kaikoura; St Paul's Presbyterian Hall at Kaikoura; Crown Battery site at Karangahake, Jack Brothers mill kiln at Kotuku; musterers' quarters at Lake Coleridge Station; Warden's Court at Lawrence; explosives magazine at Lyttelton Harbour; and old cement works at Mahurangi.

Arrangement: Transparencies were arranged in a six-row, 43 slides per row, metal case. The case was not labelled; the order appears have begun as largely alphabetical by location, name of building/structure, or name of station/farm; however, arrangement becomes more disordered in the last two rows of the case.

Quantity: 24 colour original transparency/ies.

Processing information: Slides have been removed from container and put into archival pockets, following the original order, from left to right and top to bottom.
