Description

All images show anti-tour protesters bearing placards and banners, including "Support the Black Liberation struggle"; "Couch is a common weed" (Ben Couch was minister of police at the time); and "Human rights before Tour". Ans Westra focuses on individuals with placards, and those watching. A child is lying on the road on a patch of shredded paper (frames 8 to 10); and a policeman is visible in the background (frame 10). Images taken in Wellington. Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
